After the huge success of last year, back in London to Celebrate the Django’s Birthday “HOT CLUB ROMA” Django is the precursor of a music style that has no Tabs; one who has turned his soul into music and its beat in rhythm.
Cheerful, nostalgic, sometimes sad sometimes happy and then suddenly energetic and romantic: all that he felt turned into music, without control, without Tabs because for him the music doesn’t read: it feels. Celebrating the birth of the great Django is a hymn to music to share, just as he did, with the whole world. SO. ENJOY WITH US…CHOOSE YOUR NIGHT: SUNDAY 24TH OR MONDAY 25TH.
Two sizzling night at the rythym of Jazz Manouche, absolutely not to be missed. The concert will take place in the oasis of Jazz Manouche, Le Quecumbar Jazz Club. It’s a big chance to see them and soak up all the positive energy of their music. JANUARY 24th 25th, 2016 8pm.
The Hot Club Roma is the brainchild of guitarist Gianfranco Malorgio for his passion towards the pioneer of Jazz Manouche Django Reinhardt. It was founded on 2005.
Three crazy Italian musicians (Tartamella, Malorgio and Gattone) working on the production of the first CD “Swing from Rome” that affirms their musical quality. Soon, musicians like Dario Pinelli and Tim Kliphuis, ask the cooperation of the Trio to creating soundtracks and for creating music videos.
Tim Kliphuis recorded four songs for the second CD “Django Mon Amoure”. Concerts alongside Dorado and Samson Schmitt, Stochelo Rosenberg, Angelo Debarre, mark a further growth of the band.
In 2010 he joined the Hot Club Roma one of the most popular guitarists of all the Italian and European music scene: Moreno Viglione.
His career led him to play with the most important Italian and American singers; He wrote for the most important music magazines; He has played for the most important Italian TV and taught in the schools of Italian music.
In Italy the ‘Hot Club Roma’ are still active in theaters with the show’s music and lyrics created by Gianfranco Malorgio and dedicated to the life of Django Reinhardt: “The lightning three finger” with 8 people in the band.
The Quartet is composed by: Moreno Viglione – Lead Guitar; Gianfranco Malorgio – Rhythm guitar; Gian Piero Lo Piccolo – Clarinet; Renato Gattone – Double Bass.
